66. Liberia’s Second Annual Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Joint Sector Review: Event Report

The Government of Liberia (GOL) hosted the second Annual Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Joint Sector Review (JSR) in 2014. The event was led by the National Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Promotion Committee (NWSHPC) with support from the ministries of Public Works (MPW), Health & Social Welfare (MOHSW), Lands, Mines & Energy (MLME) and partners. The JSR provided a two-day forum for stakeholders to discuss progress, listen to each other’s point of view, and decide on the best way forward for the sector. The objective was to identify and agree on the priorities for the WASH sector for Financial Year (FY) 2014/15. This Sector Performance Report (SPR), an analytical report written by technical experts from throughout the government and partners, represents a major step forward in how the sector monitors and reports. It covers distinct topics, or themes, and includes ample data and status updates for all priority activities in the Sector Strategic Plan (SSP). Thematic presentations can be found. (Link)
